We are looking for a Senior Database Developer to help engineer rules and database solution for the Firm's compensation system being built on Beqom Total Compensation platform, leveraging Microsoft Azure PaaS / SaaS solution.
This role requires strong experience in database development and the role will also be responsible for providing technical guidance to junior developers.
The business area is HR Technology. The HR Technology organization provides IT support to the Morgan Stanley Human Resource division. The Rewards Technology team is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining applications, which helps the firm to manage firm wide compensation and long-term incentive administration. We also provide technology expertise for vendor solution implementation and serves as the Morgan Stanley technology guidance to those vendor solutions.

What will you be doing?
- Serve as database developer for the Beqom Compensation team, coordinating development activities with our local and global IT teams
- Contribute to engineering of reporting and analytics solution for the firm’s compensation system being built Beqom and Azure
- Participate in development of Data Integration, Migration, and Reporting subsystems of the Compensation application
- Work on performance enhancements of key system/database components
- Work with EMEA HR business partners to facilitate requirements gathering, analysis and implementation
- Serve as IT contact interfacing with EMEA-based Morgan Stanley employees, HR users, and Operations team to provide L3 support functions to the user community
QUALIFICATIONS
- What we’re looking for:
- 4 to 8 Years working experience Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience using ETL tools like SSIS, ADF
- Experience using SSRS
- Solid understanding of OLTP and OLAP database schema design
- Experience designing, implementing, testing and maintaining stored database code including procedures, triggers and functions
- Advanced knowledge of logical and physical data modeling and RDBMS concepts
- Ability to debug complex, unfamiliar code
- Ability to mine and parse large amounts of data
- Solid exposure to performance optimization techniques
- Ability to provide guidance, oversight, and peer review to more junior database developers
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Key skills needed are MS SQL, Azure, Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSIS, SSRS
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum team environment
- Experience with DevOps
- Experience developing in SQL Server environment
