Job description

Job Description: Database and Customer Support Assistant

Company: Dietary Assessment Ltd

_______

Company Details

Founded by Janet Cade (Professor of Nutritional Epidemiology, University of Leeds) in 2017, Dietary Assessment Ltd are on a mission to reduce diet-related disease, globally. We specialise in providing our high-quality nutritional analysis software – myfood24® - to researchers, educators and healthcare professionals both in the UK and internationally.

myfood24® is a market leading online food diary platform that automates the diet tracking and analysis process. It is already used extensively for research into a range of health conditions including diabetes, some cancers, and motor neurone disease. We have recently developed an eHealth solution that aims to help healthcare professionals and their patients reduce and better manage diet-related diseases by improving dietary habits.

Underpinned by robust methodologies and at the heart of our unique diet monitoring platform is the myfood24 database. Meticulously created by a team of experts, and never crowdsourced, it has been developed to reflect the vast range of food and drink products available to consumers, including supermarkets, coffee shops, fast food outlets, and restaurant chains. Not only does our core UK database contain over 115,000 products, but it also has corresponding nutritional information for over 100 nutrients, vitamins and minerals, making this a database like no other!

As our Database and Customer Support Assistant, you will use your nutritional knowledge and new technologies to improve and expand our food and nutrient dataset in response to customer feedback and requests. You will also have the chance to work directly with customers as well as new prospects looking to find out more about myfood24.

Office location: The Company is based in Nexus, Leeds, UK – a collaborative hub for innovation on the University of Leeds campus. However, flexible and remote working options are available.
