I'm looking for an Oracle Database Administrator to join an international financial company within the UK headquarters in Northwich. You would be joining a team of 12 in the Tech & Systems team, working on some interesting projects on both new and existing platforms.
The company are going through an impressive period of growth and looking to grow their tech team by 3 new people just this month along, with even more growth projected later in the year. This is also an excellent time to join the company as they're on the cusp of opening new offices overseas and starting new projects.

The role will be initially office-based during the first couple of months as you get up to speed with the team and systems, after which hybrid working will be on offer (3 days a week in the office and 2 days working from home).
As an Oracle DBA, you will be primarily responsible for managing and administering all databases including the Windows and Linux platforms they run on.
What you'll be doing:
Monitor databases to ensure environments are stable, reliable and available.
Monitor Oracle databases to ensure efficient operations.
Perform backups, migrations and restorations of Oracle databases.
Develop, manage and test databases, ensuring documentation is up-to-date and in place.
Liaise with Developers and analyse / manage capacity and performance.
Skills/Experience required:
Minimum 2 years in a similar role / working with Oracle databases.
Experience with Oracle 12c or above
Oracle WebLogic maintenance / implementation
Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux Operating Systems
RMAN Backup & Recovery
Eagerness and aptitude to learn new technologies and platforms.
Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) Performance Tuning & Optimisation.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
