The Senior MDM Configurator is responsible for the configuration/development of complex Master Data Management (MDM) solutions and will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of our master data. This role will involve working closely with various stakeholders and teams to develop, implement, and maintain effective MDM solutions including vendor, customer, product, and finance domains. As such, the senior MDM configurator will need to foster relationships throughout the organization to gather data and an understanding of what the data means to the business.
This role will be key participant in transformation initiatives related to MDM and Data Governance at Builders FirstSource.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Configure/develop multi-domain MDM solutions to improve data quality, accuracy, and consistency across the organization.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure understanding of the technical requirements and future strategic direction of the business/function.
- Translate technical requirements into system requirements and design.
- Configures MDM solution according to technical requirements.
- Performs data validation, unit testing, and troubleshooting for data model usability.
- Participates in solution design, implements, and supports robust and complex initiatives.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to MDM processes and data mappings.
- Monitor and troubleshoot MDM system performance, implementing optimizations as needed.
- Assist in the integration of MDM solutions with existing systems, applications, and data sources.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members and stakeholders regarding MDM best practices.
- Participate in ongoing reviews and enhancements of MDM processes and technologies to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Learn business processes and partner with business process owners/SME’s, IT, and data stewardship teams.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Information systems/Technology, Computer Science, any of the Engineering disciplines, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 plus years of master data management development/configuration
- Hands on experience with SAP MDG multi-domain master data management, data quality and data governance.
- Strong understanding of MDM principles, processes, and tools.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS).
- Knowledge of ETL tools and processes, data warehousing, and data modeling concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Experience with analytics tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau is a plus.
- Azure Cloud experience is a plus.
- Experience with Manufacturing and & Distribution industry is a plus.
- TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Databases: Informix, SQL Server, Oracle, MDG/S4 HANA
- Working experience with Python and SQL
- Collaboration Tools: MS Office, JIRA, SharePoint, MS Teams
