Job description
Responsible for database administration for IRS Contact Data Center environment. Provided database technical support to multiple user groups located at 30+ local and remote IRS service centers.
- Provides daily data reports for IRS required service activities from multiple data sites to IRS business service team.
- Responsible for the design of ETL package for BI project by Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services
(SSIS);users data report design by using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS); ETL data
processing from multiple data resources, including Oracle, Informix, Access, Excel file and flat file.
- Acts as technical leader on supporting database systems, resolving database and Windows
system technical issues. Provides the technical guidance and training to local and remote site team
members.
- Responsible for database objects design and coding, including tables, views, procedures, functions, and triggers. Responsible for database troubleshooting, repairing, database activity monitor, daily and weekly database backup / restoration and database performance tuning. SQL Server security vulnerability assessment and remediation.
- Responsible for upgrades to the IRS database system and the configuration of the database implementation to function with IRS business applications.
- Responsible for the design and implementation for Contact Recording System at IRS Data Center by SQL Server Cluster Service on Windows Server.
- Responsible for the configuration of SQL Server High Availability function and Disaster Recovery for IRS Data Center.
- Responsible for database migration between domains in Active Directory and configuration security policy, remote SQL server connectivity, user account access and SQL server tasks assignment.
Skills/Experience: Junior to Mid Level –
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an administrative capacity.
· 5-7 years’ experience with databases, design and administration, preferably in the contact center technology domain, including Oracle, Informix, Access, Excel file and flat file.
· Preferred to have familiarity with contact center concepts, terminology, and technologies.
· Skills and experience with Microsoft Office products specifically MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
