BioTalent is pleased to be working with a unique microbiome startup organisation based in London, UK. Their technology has applications within the agriculture sector and is producing terabytes of microbiome data on a weekly basis.

The client is backed by some exceptional venture capital investment, allowing them to advance to the next step of development and are looking to hire a Data Scientist who specialises in Warehouse Development.


You will be responsible for:

• Designing the clients first data warehouse platform.
• Pipeline setup and data input from various sources.
• Supporting with automation of backend processes alongside the Bioinformatics and Data Science units.
• Collaborating with scientists who produce and analyse raw materials, streamlining and optimising the cohesive partnership with the systems you create.
• Actively supporting a culture of continuous learning and high-quality delivery.

You will bring the following:

• Data warehouse development experience including work with SQL and with developing ETL pipelines.
• Proficiency with Python development.
• Desirable - experience with DNA/RNA data and/or microbiome science.
• Desirable - experience using cloud services and/or frontend development (R Shiny or React).
