Your opportunity
This role provides an opportunity to make a substantial impact in the future of how Janus Henderson uses data as a competitive advantage for business growth. In this role, you will work alongside Data Management and Technology partners to take our Strategic Data Platform to the next level of enablement for business value.
You will:
- Assist business and technology partners elicit and understand business requirements for use of data from the strategic data warehouse
- Use organisational and analytical skills to match requirements against available data warehouse information, and identify and communicate where there are gaps to be resolved
- Query and analyse data to assist data stewards in certifying data quality and production readiness for production
- Produce metrics that tell “the story” about the information available from the data warehouse, for communications to executives and other stakeholders
- Support the creation of regular communications about data available from the strategic data warehouse
- Assist our Data Operations team in the creation of automated data quality processes to create scale and efficiency
- Carry out additional duties as assigned

Must have skills
- Ability to productively engage with business and technology stakeholders, and an understand of the importance of clearly defining customer requirements for data analysis
- Expertise in data queries to collect and compile data from different sources
- Understanding of the fundamentals of data structures, database system design, implementation, and maintenance
- Experience using Excel and/or other tools to organize and communicate data being analysed
- Logical and creative thinking skills and a thorough and organised approach
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Innate drive to take the initiate, work independently, and take responsibility for delivery
Nice to have skills
- Experience in a buy-side asset management firm
- Experience developing metrics dashboards for management reporting and analysis
- Data Operations experience – running control reports, analysing results, and maintaining information in operational systems
- Graduate in Business Finance or Information Technology is preferred
