About the Team:
The Marketing Data Science team provides insights and measurement support for our TikTok Marketing team to help them build, and measure the impact of marketing campaigns both on and off our platform.
TikTok is looking for a highly-driven, empathetic Data Scientist with demonstrable experience in analytics, modeling and reporting. This London-based role will report directly to the Global Head of Marketing Data Science and Research. You will be part of a broader Data Science team that will partner with our Brand and Product marketing teams to build best-in-class marketing analytics support, collaborating closely with key cross-functional teams in Consumer Research, Finance and Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Regional Heads of Marketing in understanding the effectiveness of marketing campaigns on brand and user outcomes, working closely with senior stakeholders to establish the core requirements.
- Collaborate with XFN teams to build a rigorous insights and measurement framework to address the immediate needs of the business through scalable solutions, and own key elements of the resulting roadmap.
- Contribute to workstreams focused on developing user insights, building and carrying out marketing measurement plans, and developing measurement methodologies.
- Provide subject matter expertise on measurement methodologies including meta-analyses and in-platform experimentation.
- Coordinate analysis of measurement outputs to turn test results into practical insights to be scaled across media campaigns.
- 3+ years of experience in a quantitative role in the tech, consulting, and finance industries with a focus on strategy, insights, and measurement.
- Comfortable getting hands-on, as well as taking a step back and thinking strategically and proactively identifying opportunities.
- Although experience in marketing analytics and measurement is not essential, the successful candidate will be expected to show an interest in this area and the enthusiasm to develop a strong understanding of marketing activation and measurement principles.
- Experience navigating and working with large data sets with BI tools and SQL/HQL.
- Experience in the use of statistical principles, modeling techniques, and intelligence and visualization tools with experience in the use of a statistical programming language (R/Python).
- Confident in managing and influencing senior partners and stakeholders with strong presentation skills (written and verbal).
