Head of Data Science

UK/ Remote

Up to £125,000 + Strong Bonus

OVERVIEW

A leading UK logistics company is looking for a Head of Data Science to spearhead the function and join them in their data transformation towards a modern tech-stack and data-driven business decision making. You will be managing a team of Data Scientists and ML Engineers and providing technical leadership as well as being responsible for the long-term strategy and roadmap of the team. Your responsibilities as a Head of Data Science will include but not be limited to:

• Manage a team of Data Scientists and ML Engineers, being responsible for their personal development and training.
• Build out the team and hire new talent, decide which skills are required for the data transformation and plan the growth and headcount.
• Provide technical leadership across both Data Science and ML Engineering and implement best practices.
• Engage with C-level business stakeholders and deliver the roadmap and strategy for Data Science.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

A successful Head of Data Science will have the following:

• Experience in building and deploying production level Machine Learning solutions, using a modern tech-stack, and working with Big Data.
• Must have experience across both Data Science and ML Engineering, providing technical leadership in both areas.
• Must have experience in managing a team of Data Scientists
• Must have experience in ML Ops.
