About the Role
Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Havant, Belfast or Dublin.
Salary: £32,600 - £48,800 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The Software Asset Management Audit and Compliance Team sits within the wider Software Asset Management team, which includes functions to maintain and manage the whole of SSE's software licence estate.
You will be responsible for all the data and information needs of the Software Asset Management team, as well as that needed by other teams within SSE IT and the SSE Business Units.
You will have overall responsibility for SSE's Software Asset Management Data Architecture, including the identification and definition of each data element and its single point of truth. You will build and maintain a data lake of Software Asset Management data and use that to product automated dashboard and data feeds. You will mine that data to find information and actionable insights.
Key Accountabilities include
- Define data models within the Software Asset Management space.
- Deliver data and visualisations via automated dashboards and other techniques.
- Build state of the art data mining and machine learning systems.
- Determine actionable advice from the insights.
- Interpret and effectively communicate insights to the business and senior executives.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Experience in Data architecture and governance.
- Experience applying data science / machine learning / AI to solve business problems.
- Experience working with state-of-the-art data science, modelling and visualisation techniques.
- Fluency with Power BI and SQL.
- Intellectual curiosity, with excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills.
