Data Scientist

Hybrid | Pentagon | 2-3 Days a week Onsite

TS/SCI Clearance Required

Responsibilities

Our client is looking for a passionate and talented Data Scientist to join their team. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to driving the growth and innovation within our organization through the expert application of data science methodologies and techniques. This role requires a deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, data management, and analysis, as well as the ability to effectively communicate complex findings to a variety of stakeholders.

Develop, validate, and implement data models and algorithms to meet business needs
Collaborate with the data engineering team to design and maintain scalable data models and pipelines
Conduct detailed analyses of our data and systems to generate insights and inform business decisions
Drive the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business requirements and deliver appropriate solutions
Present complex data in a clear, concise manner to various stakeholders, including non-technical audiences
Stay up-to-date on new research and technologies in the field of data science and machine learning, and educate the team on these developments

Requirements

Strong knowledge of Python and familiarity with data processing tools like SQL, Hadoop, and Spark
Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization techniques
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Preferred Requirements

A Bachelors or Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred.

Clearance Requirements

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active TS/SCI clearance is required.
