Job Role: Data Scientist

The role:
Crimtan is experiencing fast growth and is looking to expand its team in the Brighton office with a newly created role of Data Scientist. The role would be ideal for a candidate with 2-3 years experience in marketing & technology looking to gain deeper experience within the Martech and Adtech industry and growing a new arm to the business.
Primarily responsible for developing deep insight frameworks for strategic clients and reporting to the Lead Data Scientist, the role will also look at many other elements of analysis in existing performance and execution in the search for continuous improvement.
Crimtan have developed their own proprietary technology over the last 12 years, and as such have access to very granular log level data for this role to dig into.
Key responsibilities:
- Pro-active identification of any potential issues that may impact campaign delivery
- Analysis of current campaign performance and insight in how to optimise spend
- Deep analysis of log files across proprietary technology in the delivery platform (bidding & ad serving) to understand what is driving good performance
- Deep analysis of tags deployed for attribution and audience targeting to understand personas driving the most value
- Connecting through Google API to enrich frameworks with keyword insights
- Building out complex modelling frameworks by overlaying many inputs to derive clear and meaningful output
- Building attribution frameworks, across multiple programmatic formats and injesting other micro and macro factors for Crimtan’s Total Media Attribution framework
- Building strategic relationships with clients as a trusted source for insights
Key skills and experience:

- Proven interest in online advertising and emerging ad technology
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking and ability to develop and present buying and optimization recommendations

- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education / Qualifications / Professional Certificates:
- Native level English language skills
- College/University degree is preferable
- High Proficiency in Python
- Knowledge of Business Objects, Data Visualisation and Query language preferable
- Knowledge of Tableau, Looker, Datarama visualisation preferable
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite primarily Excel, but also Word, Power Point and Outlook
