You’re a highly analytical and experienced Data Scientist, eager to leverage your mathematics, statistics, and data science skills to analyze and interpret complex sports data sets. You relish the opportunity to dive deep into the details, experiment with new concepts and explore creative meaning hidden within the data. Your exemplary mathematics, statistics and analysis skills put you consistently in the starting line-up for every game!
You stay up to date with the latest advances in data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence. As the Data Scientist you will be accountable for analyzing and interpreting complex data sets related to sports and fantasy sports, using statistical methods and advanced software tools. Leveraging this data, you will develop deep insights, patterns, and trends in the data, helping the business have a clear view of the goal posts.
You have a bachelor’s, or preferably a master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field and 3 or more years’ experience in data mining, machine learning and statistical analysis. Preference will be given if your years working include software programming in Python or R, working with SQL, and data visualization tools such as Power BI. For bonus points, you’re a hockey fan and are familiar with fantasy sports.
