Job description
BRAEBON Medical Corporation is a leading developer of sleep diagnostic products. Located in Ottawa, Canada, BRAEBON has an immediate opening for a Software Engineer to work in our Kanata office.
We’re looking for a bright and talented individual to help with signal analysis of clinical data. You’ll be working with a multitude of medical devices, performing a vital component of the testing, analysis, and validating designs of new products. Knowledge and Experience
Primary Responsibilities include analysis of biomedical signals for real-time vital signs monitoring:
· Design and document algorithms to analyze biomedical signals (ex. PPG, ECG, breathing)
· Extract and generate results (e.g., sleep state) from time-series data
· Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications in Python/Matlab/C++
· Recommend and execute improvements based on user feedback
· Create technical documentation for regulatory and reporting
· Record, organize, and synchronize data to allow for ease of analysis, and keep detailed logs and notes of experiments
Requirements
· Degree in biomedical engineering, electrical/computer engineering, computer science, clinical studies or similar. Graduate degree is desirable
· Must have at least 1-year industrial work experience
· Coding experience in Python and C/C++
· Comfortable with analysing and working with large sets of data
· Applicable knowledge of digital signal processing methods and/or ML with time-series data
· Applicants must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and legally permitted to work in Canada (please do NOT apply if you do not meet this requisite)
Nice to have
· Experience with human data collection and analysis of physiological signals
· Experience in a disciplined engineering/software development environment (ISO 13485) is desirable
