Data Scientist
1 Year FTC (fixed term contract)
£30,000 - £45,000 + benefits
Cambridgeshire based with hybrid working (min 1 day per week in the office)
Xcede are excited to be partnering with an innovative insurance organisation based in Cambridgeshire who are looking to hire an entry level (or second job) Data Scientist.
The role will be fully hands on, offering the opportunity to combine Data Science/Machine Learning and Analytics techniques, whilst working on a variety of projects. They are looking for candidates with a background in the Data Science fundamentals - Maths/Stats/SQL/Python/Machine Learning.
If you have recently graduated or have gained some industry experience and are now looking for the next step, this could be a great opportunity for you.
Key skills/experience required:
- Degree in a STEM subject ideally
- Experience utilising Machine Learning approaches to solve either business problems or university projects
- Good understanding of SQL and Python
- Strong understanding of Machine Learning models
- Excellent statistical approach to problem solving
- Ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills
- Aptitude to learn new technologies
