Division overview
This role sits within The Developing Regions Business Group (DRBG) which manages over €1.0bn turnover across five regions including South Africa, North Africa, East Africa, Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe covering more than one hundred countries.
Role overview
- Day to day management of all activities and Data Quality KPIs
- Delivering high quality data models and dashboard reporting in PowerBI. Automating and optimising reporting processes using Dataflows and Power Query.
- Delivering Canon’s direct communications activities to include data planning, analysis and reporting for cross functional teams, allowing central and local teams to identify areas that need addressing and areas of opportunity.
- Create data visualisations to help non numerical / technical teams understand key information and form logical decisions to drive value from the base.
- Define business and technical requirements to develop analytics capability e.g. data strategy and governance, cleaning, data augmentation.
- Design and execute automated procedures interfacing with systems to report business analytics and sales support indicators.
- Test reports and use problem solving skills to determine problems’ root cause and suggest solutions with users.
- Take ownership of personal development and investing time in improving expertise within the Business Intelligence / data subject.
- Collaborate with relevant IT teams to translate the business requirements and ensure the quality of data is ready for processing

Salary: between £40,841 and £48,048 dependent on experience plus 10% bonus

What we ask
- Core skills in Power BI, DAX & Power Query are essential
- M, SQL and compllex data analysis are higly desirable
- Proven ability to understand data journeys and processing rules, who can work with subject experts to improve overall reporting quality. Experience of industry standard tools
- Strong communication and time management skills are required
- Analytical and process driven with an attention for detail

- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Demonstrates an effective and resourceful approach to addressing issues.
Further Information
Salary – £40,000 - £48,000 dependent on experience + up to 10% performance related bonus + extensive flexible core benefits and exceptional pension plan
