The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a confident, proactive, analytical Data Protection Analyst to join our Global Data Protection Team.
The Data Protection Team consists of our Global DPO and our Global Data Protection Manager. This role will report into the Global Data Protection Manager (DPM).
The successful candidate will also work closely with a wider team of varied stakeholders in the business including the Legal team, Cybersecurity team, Risk team, Information Security team, Product/Proposition teams, our CTOs, Marketing team and other key functions relevant to data protection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the companies Record of Processing Activities (ROPA) register and coordinating any new ROPA entries.
- Collating KPIs from around the business on data protection activities, e.g., data subject requests.
- Administration and management of the DPIA and data breach registers and other data protection documentation, forms, and Excel spreadsheets.
- Creating slide decks and dashboards for committees
- Maintaining and managing the team's mailbox triaging and responding to queries.
- Drafting, reviewing, maintaining and monitoring data protection group level processes.
- Supporting the DPM with reviewing Data Processing Agreements and Sharing Agreements escalated to the Data Protection Team.
- Creating and delivering training.
- Conducting data protection related research and drafting related guidance notes, checklist, and templates to support the operationalisation of data protection requirements by the business
- Building and maintaining close relationships with the Data Protection Team’s key stakeholders
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
- 1-3 years of experience with data protection required
- Experience in online technologies required
- Experience working with Microsoft tools in particular, Excel and PowerPoint is required
- Experience in working for a B2B company is desirable but not mandatory
- Experience in working for a global company is desirable but not mandatory
- Preferred education: Law degree, computer science or a related area to data protection. We will consider non degree applicants who can demonstrate solid work experience and skills mentioned above
- Additional qualifications: data protection training course and/or certificate in data protection with BCS, PDP, or CIPP/E or any similar data protection practitioner certificate
- Passionate about data protection and building a culture of data protectionExcellent computer skills are a must, in particular, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent analytical skills, the ability to analyse data for patterns and trends and present findings in a professional manner
