This role sits within the Data Controls and Governance Team and is to support the ongoing evolution of a robust data controls framework.

The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing our Data Quality monitoring capability and will have responsibility for the design, operation and reporting of controls that manage data accuracy, timeliness, quality, and integrity and give our internal customers confidence in the data used in our regulatory reporting.

Good quality data is at the heart of every financial services company and as a Data Manager, you’ll play a key part in increasing our Data Quality capability, combining a range of process delivery skills with business knowledge to provide business users with the information they need to understand and trust in their data.

  • Evaluating data quality controls; assessing and clearly communicating risks and impacts to data users

  • Working with project teams to build appropriate plans, manage dependencies, and communicate progress

  • Co-ordinating resources in the delivery of planned processes and analytical tasks

  • Identifying opportunities to increase efficiencies in manual processes through the application of different technologies

What you’ll bring.

  • Extensive experience in Data Quality control implementation and operation, you’ll be able to evaluate and focus on efforts that minimise data risk in the business

  • Demonstrable and specific experience needed of controls for 2 key regulatory engines/reports (IFRS9 and COREP)

It would also be nice for you to have.

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of working with data sources coupled with knowledge of databases

  • SQL experience would be a distinct advantage

  • Project delivery, responsible for driving initiatives to success

  • You’ll demonstrate strong communication skills and work with our business stakeholders, project teams, and senior management in the ongoing evolution of the data quality framework

What else you need to know.

We will be conducting all interviews via telephone or video-conference where possible.

This role offers hybrid working with an expectation to travel to the Milton Keynes office as and when required (2-3 days per week)
