Job description
The Finance Senior Data Manager will be fundamental in maintaining and owning end to end Finance Data, standards and governance including associated data dictionaries, data models and metadata systems. This role plays a crucial part of our Finance Transformation programme in both the migration of data from our existing Finance systems and the set up and maintenance of our new Oracle Financial Accounting Hub which will be used as the golden source for all of our Finance systems.
- Maintains and owns end to end Finance Data including owning associated data dictionaries, data models and metadata systems
- Plays a key role in Finance Transformation in establishment and set up of the Financial Accounting Hub Sub Ledger including souring of correct external interfaces, set up interface into FAH accounts and mapping of events, rules and configuration to the global chart of accounts
- Establish data standards and data governance processes to ensure the integrity of Finance data
- Work interactively throughout Finance teams and stakeholders to design data models and metadata systems
- Interpret business needs and business requirements into data needs that can be aligned to the needs of the end user.
- Works with the business, Finance change and systems teams who are undertaking the design work and ensure data requirements are clearly defined, impact assessed and data specification are produced to enable impact assessment, ensure that data is aligning to target data infrastructure
- Creates and support the management of data dictionaries, data models and metadata
- Ensure teams are working to the standards set for the organisation by the enterprise data management team
- Works with the Finance Solution Architect to make sure that Finance systems are designed in accordance with the appropriate data architecture
