I am currently working with a Leading University that are actively seeking a Senior Data Manager to help lead the development and delivery of a new data service that is strategically important for both the University and the wider local area.
The University are looking for an organised and driven individual with experience of developing, managing or growing data services and teams. Ideally your experience will entail working with large, sensitive data sets in a research, health, or social services context. Knowledge, and preferably experience of navigating complex information governance processes will be advantageous, as will experience of establishing legally binding contracts/agreements to securely access sensitive data.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with data providers and consumers alike. You should have the ability to work flexibly, adapting workstreams and priorities effectively in an emerging data landscape. They require a creative problem solver with the ability to manage conflicting priorities from a range of stakeholders including senior academic and professional staff, students, external partners and members of the public. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
This role offers the opportunity to develop leadership and management skills whilst creating a dynamic user-centred service in conjunction with multiple internal and external stakeholders. The contribution of this service to the national agenda around harnessing the power of data for public benefit and reducing inequalities, makes this a high-profile position both in the University and more broadly.
- Salary - £45,000 - £55,000 per annum dependent upon experience
- Hybrid Working – 3 days per week on site
