Job description
We are recruiting for a leading B2B clothing and apparel distribution business. They are looking for an experienced Product Data Manager, to successfully manage the products they sell from selection through to taking live. Managing a small team you will be responsible for obtaining all product information from their vast number of suppliers, implementing such data within their current PIM system, and ensuring this information is shared with all stakeholders within the business and customers alike.
Developing and implementing workflows to successfully identify shortfalls and manage the quality of the information within our systems.
Overseeing all data within the business, bringing products to market and complete key business driving tasks. Responsible for the accuracy of all product information, managing product launches, data maintenance, as well as full management of the PIM system. Integral to the business, accuracy of data is key ensuring all data elements are created correctly to ensure we can drive product platforms in the generation of sales for the business.
Key duties:
- Review current workflows and make improvements to current workflows and procedures.
- Implementing a strategy of obtaining all levels of information, creation of new and discontinued products and sku’s.
- The ability to analyse data and shortcomings.
- Managing the product life cycles of all products.
- Actioning all product information in PIM system
- Ensuring the data integrity
- Full management of product launches from line list build to taking product live
- Importing and exporting data in the PIM system via Excel to optimise data for the company assets.
- Attributing new products to include all features included in the web search facility.
- Liaise with other departments to develop areas surrounding the website and PIM system.
- Releasing data into multiple channels to take live.
- Collating all forms of data from suppliers and successfully populating prior to launch
- Drive web and PIM developments to ensure we work as efficiently as possible.
- Manage website data updates – CMS, Product amends, Page creation and amends
- Analyse full product range.
Core Competencies:
- Graduate status preferred, however not essential for the right experience
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in a data driven product position
- Advanced Excel skills essential
- PIM experience essential
- Ability to lead a team on key projects to hit deadlines.
- An ability to multitask and manage multiple tasks/projects at one time.
- Ability to control situations and resolve issues.
- A keen eye for detail
- Ability to show initiative in dealing with problems on own, with aptitude for working under pressure.
- Good interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate with users across all levels of ability and seniority, by phone, email and face-to-face.
- Professional, courteous, and conscientious manner
- Good time management skills with ability to prioritise jobs and multi-task.
Ideally they would like somebody in the office 2 days a week however they are happy to be flexible on this to attract the right candidates
