Job description
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in technology, or a related field. The program of study shall have emphasized skills in the technical aspects of software. Advanced degree preferred.
- Three (3) or more years experience in software technical support, HRIS experience preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products and business application software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Good organizational skills with critical attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals at various organizational levels.
- Develops presentations for staff training on all human relations software systems, to include HRIS systems, staff evaluations, safety, attendance management, Pennsylvania Department of Education reporting and training programs; and any/all other programs affiliated with employment.
- Plans a calendar of training with offerings at a variety of times to meet staff/administrator schedules and knowledge and skill levels in Human Resources Information Systems.
- Interacts with users providing first-line technical support and communication.
- Collaborates with the Office of Financial and Operational Services and Technology Department to ensure communications and programming details are disseminated.
- Prepares reports and system data information, including student management systems, as requested and required.
- Ensures that users’ concerns are addressed quickly and effectively by characterizing the problem and consulting with software provider when necessary.
- Updates staff and administrators regarding problems/resolution.
- Develops “On-line Tips” and makes them available to staff.
- Develops Human Resources Information Systems trouble-shooting guide.
- Coordinates the implementation of new software modules.
- Develops user and training manuals
- Supports the Office of Financial and Operational Services and the Office of Performance Management, Equity & Accountability through data mining and data analysis as needed.
- Exports data to, creates, maintains, and supports Access Databases.
- Maintains accurate records of calls, response timelines, training rosters, etc
- Researches information and acquires skills to ensure full utilization of Human Resources Information Systems software
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned or delegated by Chief of Talent Management and Labor Relations or Superintendent
