Job Title Data Management Governance and Quality Lead

You will be responsible for driving forward as part of a wider team the Operations Reference Data Services (ORDS) Data Management objectives across Data Governance (both operational and technical), Data Quality and Controls. You will provide Data Governance oversight and monitor ORDS’s compliance to the Data Policy and other associated guidelines and standards. You will engage and collab with the Business, Operations and Technology partners from across the organisation and drive the data management maturity agenda forward.

Your key responsibilities
Drive forward ORDS Data Management across Data Governance, Data Quality and Control and Meta Data Architecture
Drive forward the process for cataloguing of Reference Data to the Group Strategic tooling and enforce ownership and stewardship of the data with appropriate certification process in place
Oversee the declaration of Data Elements; ensuring data is clearly defined and Data Quality expectations are clear
Establish key stakeholder relationships & engage senior audiences in respect to Data Governance Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI). Embed enterprise-wide Data Management Frameworks, Policies and Guidelines and instil a clear understanding of the Data Policy compliance requirements
Monitor ORDS’ compliance to the Data Policy by leveraging enterprise-wide Data Management KPI and (where necessary) introducing new targeted ORDS measures
Drive forward a Data Driven culture within Reference Data
Your skills and experience
Experience in linking together strong Data Governance, Data Quality measurement and Data Architecture to drive forward business growth and analytics strategy within Investment Banking divisions
Strong experience Reference Data preferable within a highly regulated environment
Deep knowledge in the end-to-end Issue management process and the aggregated Data Controls reporting to determine the overall health of the data
Practical knowledge of industry data management technologies (e.g., metadata and data lineage tools, data quality profiling and monitoring, reporting and visualisation tools). Strong hands-on experience using Collibra
Communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders. Skilled in producing executive summaries that communicate the business value of Data Governance
Experience in driving forward projects and being able to articulate key RAIDs and benefits as well as progress against the overall roadmap. Project Management Professional or Prince 2 qualification preferred
