Do you have extensive experience of real time and asynchronous integrations development, in tools such as Informatica CAI? Do you have proven previous hands-on experience of analysis, design and development within an integration application environment?

Please note that this is a 12 month fixed term contract.

We are recruiting for an Integration Developer to design and develop on the middleware and data warehouse platforms, using requirements analysis and design techniques.

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops. Last year, Dogs Trust centres cared for over 14,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.

The IT department is at the beginning of a multi-year digital transformation programme, consolidating, replacing and implementing new systems to support the charity for the future.

The IT department is made up of an infrastructure team, service desk team, project change team and a development team. There are roughly 30 people in the department and this is growing as more skills are brought in house. The IT team are an integral part of the success of the charity by providing systems to support the departmental needs (Fundraising, Dog school, rehoming, etc.).

The development team take responsibility for all of the business systems implemented, including Legacy in-house bespoke systems, Salesforce, middleware, business intelligence, data warehouse and ERP systems.

In this brand new role you will partner with the architecture and infrastructure functions to ensure that the development meets agreed service level standards and roadmap requirements. You will analyse end-user needs, translate these into business requirements in conjunction with the business analyst community [functional and non-functional], and develop technical workflows. You will then design, unit test, and develop Integration software to satisfy demand.

To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience of SQL Coding, and Experience in ETL/ELT toolsets and developing integrations on those toolsets e.g. Informatica, Talend, Microsoft SSIS etc. Experience in developing integrations on message-based middleware e.g. Talend, Software AG web methods, MuleSoft etc.

An excellent communicator, you will have experience in design and development of Data Warehouse solutions and latest patterns and practices for modern data warehousing toolsets, as well as a strong development background in Java or Microsoft .Net.
