Job Summary:
LDRM is hiring Data Entry Operators to support the National Visa Center in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
This is an ON-SITE position during the day, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Training is in person, on-site for a period of approximately 6 weeks. Your subsequent daily work duties will be performed at the National Visa Center. In addition, your presence may occasionally be required in the office for trainings, meetings, or to resolve badge issues. Any additional remedial training and/or supervision will also be held in-office at the National Visa Center.
As a Data Entry Operator II, you will:
- Enter data into an automated system using formatting input screens and validate information from applications and related source documents in accordance with guidelines. Source documents include applications, petitions, forms, supplemental documentation, and other documents.
- Modify, update, and correct data contained in our automated systems.
- Refer cases with discrepancies that might indicate fraud to another unit for review.
- Apply your training, experience, and judgment to select the correct procedures to follow when you search for, interpret, select, or code items to be entered.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
Basic Qualifications Needed to Apply:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- One (1) to two (2) years of office experience.
- Ability to pass a typing test of at least 30 WPM.
- Ability to pass a critical thinking test with a score of 75% or better.
- Ability to pass a computer skills test with a score of 66% or better.
- Experience in an office/clerical environment is desired.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Great attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to work in a multi-tasking environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- You must demonstrate a professional work ethic.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET-level federal security clearance.
You must live within 90 miles of Portsmouth, NH, and be a U.S. citizen. Additionally, you must successfully complete a credit and criminal background check.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Lifting ability up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to perform work to include:
- Pushing/Pulling.
- Bending/Standing/Reaching/Squatting/Sitting.
- Climbing Ladders.
- Visual acuity; hand and eye coordination.
