We are seeking to recruit a Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Data Officer on a permanent contract, to join our hard working and positive Planning Policy team.
We are interested in hearing from positive, enthusiastic, and conscientious candidates with knowledge and experience of GIS and other ICT systems, who are well organised and able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
The Planning Service operates with a culture of supporting staff as they develop, and this role provides an opportunity for candidates who may be new to the role to broaden and deepen their experience and skills – including GIS, monitoring and research skills and to develop and broaden new skills through the use of IT including ESRI; GIS analysis and Uniform. The postholder will lead on monitoring work including that required to calculate the Council’s five-year housing land supply figure.
