An exciting new opportunity has become available with ETF, the government-backed, sector-owned professional development body for the Further Education (FE) and Training sector. Our role is to grow the strength and capability of the FE profession; enhance its leadership capacity; inform its decision-makers with expert input; and develop FE professionals to excel in their roles and develop their careers.
The Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) department is a central, cross-organisational, and a highly visible part of the ETF. DDaT works in a multidisciplinary, agile approach to design and deliver products and services that meet the needs of our customers and improve user experience (UX) in all areas.
DDaT thinks and behaves unilaterally across all our technology, and we apply our individual skills, knowledge, and experience to any given part. The position will require the right candidate experienced in Pipeline build and management, Data preparation and Data Strategy Roadmap.
The post-holder will be responsible for:
- Building and maintaining data pipelines and flows
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation of the dataflows
- Working with the Data Manager to improve the quality, accuracy and availability of data
- Lead on Data Migration projects
- Support the creation and design of the new Data Environment
- Working with the Data Manager to improve the quality, accuracy and availability of data
The successful candidate will have:
- good understanding of design choices for data storage and data processing
- Experience of using databases, data lakes, CRMs, or data warehouses
- Excellence understanding of design choices for data storage and data processing
