Job description
Looking for a Contract Data Engineer with core skills in PowerBI and Power Query experience, Strong SQL, ETL and advanced Excel to assist in the efficiency/automation of data transference processes/ Developing Data Pipelines.
Data is transferred from Azure into formats that clients needs to input the data into their systems.
Currently this an arduous procedure where a number of people are creating manual Excel spreadsheet grids that outlines content, and content metadata from our Content Database into a format that each client needs to feed into its particular hardware systems.
This is outside IR35, London based with Hybrid working. Immediate start only (within 2 weeks).
Our content metadata is held on an Azure database. We think the best way to create these client grids is through PowerBi and PowerQuery and expect the process to be an iterative one where the contractor will work with a BA within the team to design each client grid output so they can be automatically filled with correct data and identify changes in data.
There then may be scope to add additional levels of automation at client level.
Skill set required will be a Data Engineer / BI Developer with strong Power BI and PowerQuery experience as well as strong Excel and Commercial SQL experience and ideally Azure data source.
Must have strong clear communication skills and ability to build professional relationships quickly and easily.
Assignment is likely to be 6 months duration initially. Likely to be 1 day per week initially in the office (London WestEnd) then flexible according to needs.
Assignment is likely to be outside IR35.
