Help shape the future of data in Macmillan! Join our expanding Engineering team at Macmillan and help us deliver better services to support people living with cancer.
About the role
We're expanding our engineering function to form a new data engineering team.
Within this role, you'll solve the challenge of distributed data in Macmillan in a large-scale data transformation programme to give us a single source of truth.
You will help us create a Data Lake, build data pipelines to help extract data from various sources within the Macmillan tech stack and transform and maintain the data. You will assist with integration, consolidation, data cleansing and data structuring for use in analytics applications.
About you
You will have the following:
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience with data warehouses, data lakes and tools.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services relating to a data platform e.g. Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics
- Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
- Knowledge a programming language (e.g. C#, Java, Python) is a bonus.
- Understanding of dimensional modelling (e.g.Kimball)
