Job description
As a member of our Corporate Finance Planning and Analysis Engineering team you will be in a hands-on Data Engineering role making substantial direct and leadership contributions in terms of design, coding, automation, and improvement of the data engineering process as well as providing organizational and technical leadership to establishing and building a modern suite of micro-services and cloud-based applications. You’ll join a team of curious problem solvers with a diverse set of perspectives who are thinking big and taking risks. In this environment, you’ll take the lead on relevant projects, supported by an organization that provides the support and mentorship you need to learn and grow. Coming in with passion for and an understanding of the importance of Data Quality, modern SDLC, Engineering excellence practices and CI/CD is imperative. You’ll be often working with and sharing ideas, information, and innovation with our global team of engineers from all over the world.
Job responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and deliver software to automate manual data processing work
- Solution following Data Governance standards and Infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Engage with development team throughout the life cycle to help develop software for reliability and scale, ensuring minimal refactoring or changes
- Design self-healing and resiliency patterns
- Design automated software and product upgrades, change management, and release management solutions
- Coach or manage teams as applicable
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an software engineering discipline
- Expertise in at least one technology stack designing, coding, testing, and delivering software
- Proficiency in one or more technology domains, may be a cross-domain expert able to solve complex and mission critical problems within a business or across the firm
- Working experiences of software development on AWS
- Data Analytics technologies such as AWS Redshift, Databricks, Snowflake etc.
- Experience with building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing Terraform, Cloud Formation etc. for various AWS services including EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3 etc.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Well versed with Data analysis and Data modeling
- Exposure to Process automation design principles and patterns
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming language (Java, Python, SQL)
