Job Title: Principal Data Engineer (multiple openings)
Job Location: Riverwoods, IL
Job Type: Full Time
Duties: Design and improve holistic product solutions that address high impact technology, data, and business priorities, including ETL/ELT and ML/AI. Influence strategic direction across the enterprise on solution delivery, including investment decisions. Intuitively bridge the business needs to DNA capabilities. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 6 years of experience in Senior Data Engineer; Senior Manager; Manager; Senior Technical Consultant; Software Developer or related occupation.
Position required skills: Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation: providing business analysis to develop ETL code to meet technical specifications of complex and critical data projects; supporting product development processes (PDP), including Ab-Initio, Teradata, Unix and Python to develop, deploy and deliver solutions; supporting analysis, preparation of specifications and plans for development and modification of processes; using Teradata to design and define data warehouses to support business operations and analytics; and leveraging open source tools, using Python to design and develop data ingestion frameworks, real time processing solutions and data processing and transformation frameworks.
Position eligible for incentives under Employee Referral Program
Rate of Pay: The base pay for this position generally ranges between $140,046 to $171,500. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
