Data Engineer
Adastra corporation is hiring! As Canada’s leading Data and AI company, we are looking for a solid Data Engineer with strong Python and SQL skills, as well as knowledge and work experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Location: Hybrid 3-Day Onsite (Brampton)
Status: Contract/Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Work with the business to understand and gather requirements
- Utilize knowledge and experience with GCP native tools such as Dataflow to identify and solve business problems and needs
- Create data pipelines in GCP
- Perform skillset related to SQL and Python
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on data
- 5+ years of relevant Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) experience using Java and Python
- 5+ years of experience with relational databases (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server) and Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive)
- Experience working with Cloud data platform technologies:
- GCP: Dataflow, BigQuery, Apache Beam, Apache Airflow
- Azure: Databricks
- Experience using Jenkins to configure and build CI/CD pipelines
- Experience building Terraform scripts to provision Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Advanced knowledge and use of SQL queries
- Advanced knowledge and use of Python
- Strong communication skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with data analysis
