As part of the Cards New Acquisition Team, you'll utilise data to transform the experiences of our customers. At the heart of our strategy is Customer Relationship Growth, which seeks to truly transform our interactions eco system into a world class capability, and connect personalized decision making across the Group including pricing, customer services, credit risk, fraud, etc. You’ll directly have an impact on strengthening customer engagement, by using modernised tools to lead the market experience.
What you'll be doing
Supporting the delivery of the New Acquisition account plan, your remit will include:
  • Providing Product Managers with data driven insight, to feed into product and channel strategies
  • Ensuring product performance reporting is accurate, timely, robust and in alignment with best practice standards
  • Engaging with key internal customers every day, presenting and explaining difficult concepts / analysis and ensuring your communications are delivered simply, clearly and tailored to the audience
  • Monitoring product performance against targets and proactively working with Product Managers to ensure delivery meets plans
  • Making recommendations for the development and ongoing refinement of existing product strategies, based on analysis and insight generated.
You’ll spend at least two days per week, or 40% of your time in our Chester office.

What you'll need
  • Strong background of delivering actionable insight in an analytics focused environment (e.g. Risk, Marketing, Finance)
  • Experience of working with disparate and complex data sources
  • Adept at interpreting analytical results and presenting insights at all levels
  • Experience of using advanced analytical tools (segmentation, modelling and optimization) within strategies to drive improved performance
  • Practical experience with data visualization tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe, Power BI, Tableau
  • Demonstrable ability in coding languages such as SAS, SQL, Python etc.
And any experience of these would be really useful
  • A commercial understanding of interpreting product financials and Profit & Loss data
  • An understanding of Consumer Lending products, strategy development and channel optimisation
  • A broad understanding of the regulations and legal framework impacting the credit card industry.
We’ll also be looking for you to demonstrate your analytical curiosity and storytelling capabilities. You're able to turn sophisticated requests into insight, and translate that insight into commercial and actionable recommendations. This role relies on building strong cross-functional relationships at all levels, so the ability to form collaborative partnerships and possessing excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills is also key.
