Data Analytics Intern, Role Overview
Cboe Europe is looking for a summer intern to work in Execution Consulting Team. The internship will provide direct exposure to decision-makers and senior leaders on the business side. The internship offers the opportunity to be a part of a company that is growing market share in an increasingly competitive environment. This is a chance to work with a team that is passionate about continual learning, improvement and raising the bar. The team values hard work, while maintaining work-life balance.
Responsibilities
  • Work within our Execution Consulting team to explore a particular topic of European equity market structure
  • For the chosen topic, working with the support of Execution Consulting Team Leader to undertake research leveraging our data platform to identify patterns and trends
  • Assist with creating analytics and researching European Equities market microstructure and create written content on findings
  • Extract actionable insights from trading data to advise on Cboe Europe product strategy
  • Apply quantitative methods and modeling to transaction and market data for Cboe Europe Equities business
Qualifications
  • Undertaking a bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Advanced knowledge working in excel with large datasets
  • Self-starter attitude; ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Some experience using Python or R for data analysis
  • Basic/Intermediate SQL or similar database proficiency
