An opportunity has arisen for a full-time Data Analyst to join the Tracing Team within Capita Tracing & Data Solutions.
The successful candidate will report to the Data Team Leader and will be responsible for analysing existing data from different internal and external clients and undertake a range of activities to cleanse, append, validate and update the new data. These activities will utilise complex processes to identify and correct corrupt data by tracing current information from sources such as Credit Bureau referencing agencies.

Responsibilities include:
- Operational processing of data tracing, mortality screening and data quality focused projects using several automated tools and manual techniques.
- Supports the Data Team Leader by monitoring and managing SharePoint effectively for all projects in the data team.
- Assists with the reporting and collection of project revenue and costs.
- Support the Data Team Leader to ensure project work and other administrative work across the data team is completed in line with agreed SLAs.
- As part of the team, ensures relevant team procedures and associated documentation are regularly reviewed and up to date.
- As part of the team, reviews the team’s output and signs off on quality assurance.
What are we looking for:
Essential
- Experience in a Data Analyst role
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLookups, bulk data analysis)
- Knowledge of a programming language
- Understanding of data collection methodologies, research and analysis principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and planning skills
- Ability to balance time, cost and quality pressures to ensure work is delivered as agreed and on time
Desirable:
- Experience/knowledge of Tracing industry
- Understanding of related industries and data sets e.g. Electoral Roll, Mortality and death data and credit referencing agencies.
- Understanding of the Pensions Regulator guidelines
- Python coding language
- Relevant data-oriented and/or research qualifications
