Purpose of the role
Ocorian is seeking an Industrial Placement Student to join our London team as a Finance Analyst. The successful candidate will work closely with our finance team to support the daily financial operations of the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a student with a keen interest in finance to gain practical experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment as part of a year-long placement.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis on financial data to identify trends and variances
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Support the finance team in the month-end close process
- Collaborate with other departments to obtain necessary financial information
- Participate in ad-hoc projects as required
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field, and eligible to undertake a year-long industrial placement as part of your course
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
