Suffolk County Council is seeking to recruit an Data Analyst (Strategic Analytics) to deliver a portfolio of data analysis projects across the Suffolk and North East Essex (SNEE) Integrated Care System (ICS).

About the new SNEE ICS Intelligence Function

The SNEE ICS has a diverse and talented analytical community, modern data and analytics technology, and engaged stakeholders. A key part of this analytical community is the new SNEE Intelligence Function. This is an analytical collaborative, with representatives from organisations across health, care and the VCSE who will work together to provide actionable insights from data that links information on health, care and the wider determinants of health. Suffolk County Council is hosting the ‘hub’ team of Intelligence Function analysts on behalf of the SNEE ICS, and is working with ICS partners to use new data and insights to support the improvement of health outcomes and the reduction of health inequalities.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Data Analyst in the SNEE ICS Intelligence Function, you will:

  • be at the forefront of evolving our ongoing data and analytics response
  • work with the Principal Data Scientist to provide outstanding skills in the field of data, analytics and statistics
  • provide a supporting role in the provision of advanced statistical skills to identify critical issues related to health and care outcomes and health inequalities, and to identify new data and analytical approaches to improving those outcomes and reducing those inequalities
  • play a supporting analytical role across the portfolio of work within the Intelligence Function hub
  • work with the wider analytical teams across the ICS who make up the ‘spokes’ of the SNEE IF
  • contribute to programmes of data science, including complex data-driven modelling scenarios, development of predictive modelling solutions using AI and machine learning techniques, and natural language processing, to develop insight and find solutions to problems.

This is a development role and the post holder will be supported to enhance their data science skillset.
