Main Responsibilities
- Lead on the work of data analysis to ensure business needs are translated into solutions against identified timelines, and work with technical leads to ensure business needs are translated into the technical solutions. Understand how to apply basic techniques for the analysis of data and synthesis of findings. Effectively involve your team in analysis and synthesis, and present clear findings that colleagues can understand and use.
- Manipulate and link different data sets. Identify, collect, and migrate data to and from a range of systems. Manage, clean, abstract, and aggregate data alongside a range of analytical studies on that data.
- Manage a variety of data and/or analytical work, ensuring Data Management principles are considered during any change activity relevant to Data Management. Manage, oversee, and improve end-to-end data processes to ensure alignment with Data Management principles and the organisations Data and Data Governance strategy. When necessary deconflict processes/principles to ensure alignment with any organisational Data Management objectives/requirements. Continually assess the maturity and effectiveness of Data Management within the programme, identifying and prioritising activities to mature processes and meet HPO and the UKHSA strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain processes to monitor data sets and their quality. Review existing processes, and design and implement new processes, resources and policies which enable the organisation to use data to achieve the strategic goals of the UKHSA.
This is a fixed term remote position with a contract end date of March 2024.
The Ideal Candidate- Extensive experience in a Data Analyst role within a commercial organisation
- A level 5 qualification in statistics, computer science, mathematics, economics or equivalent
- Experienced in delivering analytical reports and presentations to both internal and external stakeholders
- Advanced level of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) e.g., ECDL, ITQ or equivalent experience
