Come and join Travis Perkins as a Pricing Analyst in an exciting and influential role. We are looking for a commercially focused data-savvy individual to join our Pricing Team. No prior pricing experience is required. Perhaps you are currently working in a Branch and looking to utilise your Branch knowledge to develop your career and make your in branch colleagues lives easier.
Location: Hybrid with occasional meetings / visits to our HUB Head office in Northampton - Duston
What you’ll do
As a Pricing Analyst, you will be at the heart of decision-making by both developing and implementing the pricing strategy for the Branch Network. You will achieve this through using pricing models, analysing sales/competitor data and bringing together key insights that support the pricing decision process.
Some accountabilities of the role:
- Development of accurate, consistent and meaningful reporting to both the team and wider business
- Support the Pricing Team in analysing price change performance and make recommendations for future strategy
- Manage and own all data requirements to deliver price reporting, including competitor matches, TP sales and pricing data
- Own the Cost Price Increase process, collating data and producing easy to digest communications out to the business
- Plan and manage small scale projects to support business initiatives or investigate the underlying reasons behind performance variances
It would be great if you had experience in
You will have an affinity for data, confidently translating complex data sets into simple and actionable presentations. Your keen eye for detail and commercial acumen means you will be able to handle the data to drive decisions and spot opportunities to add value. You will also need to be able to work collaboratively with key stakeholders, building good relationships across teams. Experience in SQL is required. Whilst experience using Java scripting & Python would be advantageous, it is not essential. Experience in a commercial/pricing environment would be preferable but not essential.
