Job description

As a result of continued growth, we are eager to welcome a new Data Analyst to our product team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the development of new products, while engaging extensively with clients. You will have the chance to collaborate and learn from a diverse team of accomplished Product Managers, Data Scientists, Software Developers and QA Engineers, in a nurturing and collegial environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and interpret FXC’s time-series and custom datasets.
  • Collaborate with FXC Product Managers, Designers and Software Engineers to convert data insights into actionable strategies and product enhancements
  • Identify, investigate and rectify data inconsistencies and errors, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data.


Necessary skills and experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics or a related discipline.

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL and Microsoft Excel.

  • Hands-on experience with machine learning, NLP, statistical methodologies and their application in data analysis.

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of work experience in data analysis or a related role.



Desirable technical skills:

  • Experience with document databases (e.g. MongoDB), Javascript and other related programming languages.

  • Experience with team collaboration software such as issue tracking, project management, document sharing tools, etc.

  • Experience with ETL/ELT workflows, schedulers like Airflow and event-based triggers.

  • Familiarity with AI/ML systems like ChatGPT, Bard, LLaMa.



Soft skills:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead, negotiate and engage with both internal teams and external clients.

  • The capability to communicate complex concepts clearly to audiences with varying levels of technical understanding.

  • A resilient and assertive attitude, with a strong drive to learn and grow.

  • Self-motivated with strong organisational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking abilities.

  • Creative problem-solving skills, with the agility to overcome challenges.

  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a readiness to adjust to changes in direction or business priorities.
