About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and curious graduate who loves analysing, blending and preparing complex data sets to provide valuable insights and analysis.


This will be a 6-month internship working alongside the Data Analytics Manager driving key decisions around iPLATO’s patient engagement platform and patient-facing app, myGP. As an intern, you will be collaborating with key business areas including Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, Finance and Tech.


You will be involved in all-things-data and will be making a real impact within the healthtech industry; with the potential for the internship to lead to a full-time role.


Reporting to the Head of Customer Success, your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Model and analyse data sets and provide insights to all areas of iPLATO for our B2B (iPLATO) and B2C (myGP) products using SQL.Gather and blend data from multiple sources; ensure accuracy and reliability of output.
  • Undertake and assist on research with our Return on Investment (ROI) metrics to provide key savings by GP Practices in using our digital products
  • Enhance existing dashboards and present new findings using our BI tool, Tableau.
  • Document all data processes on our Confluence workspace.
  • Maintain external Tableau users; assist users with Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) to our dashboard site.

What we are looking for:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline
  • Good knowledge of SQL
  • Advanced Excel
  • Strong analytical and quantitative ability; to effectively identify problems and communicate creative solutions
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude; always willing to learn

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of databases i.e. mySQL
  • Experience using a BI tool to present visualisations, i.e. Tableau
  • Knowledge in Python and/or R
  • Previous experience within public healthcare (NHS) or healthtech sectors
