The Data Analyst focuses on data gathering, analysis, modeling, research, and knowledge capture. As a member of the Data Team, the successful candidate will gain hands-on, real world experience and exposure to data associated with distribution center operations, process optimization and material handling technologies, and will support projects for leading companies around the world to optimize their distribution operations and strategy.
Gathering, analyzing, and storing data by means of SQL, MS Excel, and Fortna-proprietary programs and tools. Interacting with internal and external Clients to determine requirements, clarify expectations, and deliver results. Developing and supporting internal tools to improve data-related systems and processes. Writing and delivering high quality documentation and analysis. Research support as requested.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering. Proficiency with databases (SQL preferred). Proficiency in Python or other general purpose languages. Outstanding Excel skills. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desired Qualifications:
Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Knowledge of distribution center operations. Ability to travel 1-2 times per year.
