Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Data Analyst to join our forward-thinking and rapidly growing digital marketing agency. As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data from web analytics, paid search, and paid social campaigns. Your insights and recommendations will be crucial in driving data-informed decision-making, optimizing campaign performance, and achieving measurable results for our clients. Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Gather, clean, and analyze data from various sources, including web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), paid search platforms (e.g., Google Ads), and social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager).
- Conduct in-depth analysis of campaign performance, user behavior, conversion funnels, and other relevant metrics to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
- Utilize statistical methods and data modeling techniques to extract insights and create predictive models for campaign optimization.
Reporting and Visualization:
- Develop and maintain regular reporting dashboards, presenting key performance indicators (KPIs) and data-driven insights to internal teams and clients.
- Create visually appealing and informative data visualizations (e.g., charts, graphs, reports) to effectively communicate complex data findings.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and customize dashboards to meet specific client needs.
Campaign Optimization and Strategy:
- Collaborate with the digital marketing team to provide data-driven insights and recommendations for optimizing paid search and paid social campaigns.
- Identify opportunities for audience segmentation, keyword targeting, ad copy optimization, bid management, and other campaign optimizations.
- Work closely with the account management team to develop data-informed digital marketing strategies and provide input on campaign planning.
A/B Testing and Experimentation:
- Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests to evaluate the impact of different variables on campaign performance and user behavior.
- Conduct hypothesis testing and provide recommendations based on statistically significant results.
- Collaborate with the creative and content teams to develop test variations and ensure proper tracking and measurement.
Data Integrity and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data by performing data quality checks, troubleshooting data discrepancies, and implementing data governance best practices.
- Collaborate with the technical team to ensure proper implementation of tracking codes, tags, and pixels to capture relevant data accurately.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Data Analyst, preferably in a digital marketing or advertising agency setting.
- Strong proficiency in web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Data Studio, Tableau).
- Expertise in analyzing data from paid search platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Bing Ads) and social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads).
- Proficient in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Experience with statistical analysis, data modeling, and hypothesis testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract insights from complex data sets.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data.
- Knowledge of digital marketing channels and best practices, including paid search, paid social, and web analytics.
- Familiarity with data visualization and reporting best practices.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
