Who are the team?
We're the Data Transfer and Management Services (DTMS) Lab, building and managing the future Data Management solutions to enable the group to meet its aim of being a data driven organisation. The key to unlocking value from our vast amount of data is enabling the group to have a deep understanding of its data and assurance of its controls.
Our Lab owns and engineers enterprise wide data management solutions that are adopted across the organisation that enables business users and application owners to automate and scale data management practices on their data.
The DTMS team work flexibly and operate a hybrid working pattern with teams & individuals mixing their time between home and office locations with agile working patterns from 2-3 days per week from home, full-time, part-time, or flexible work schedules!

The next phase of our transformation is moving more into cloud technologies, it’s never been move vital to enable the organisation to have data management controls as we move our data and to ensure that it can be trusted and controlled in our future technologies.
Our team is looking for a hardworking and adaptable Data Analyst who is an excellent communicator, strong analytical skills and a growth mind-set. We are proud of the community vibe we have created within our working spaces with a passion for building progressive and sustainable technology, reflecting our commitment to grow with purpose.
As a key member of our agile development community, you'll evolve our data capabilities whilst embracing the best industry standards. Together we’ll make it possible!
We’ll need to be able to see the following on your application…
- You’ll have real business scenarios where you’ve applied your knowledge of Data Quality tooling and their frameworks to ensure data management solutions are fit for purpose.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to effectively communicate findings and ‘tell the story’.
- Data orientated with proven problem analysis and solving skills and incident management.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and new ways of doing things with a growth mindset.
- You can engage, build and maintain relationships with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Your technology experience could include….
- Working with Data Warehouses and Java/Github/SQL
- Internal Cloud Infrastructure as well as GCP/Hadoop
- Working knowledge of Linux and networking infrastructure
- Data quality controls and using tooling e.g Ataccama
