THE POST – Data Analyst
The Data Analyst is a new role with UWS Registry and will work on a wide range business processes and projects to map data activities across the business, develop a global catalogue for data definitions and help identify the right processes and structures for data capture. This will support the creation of authoritative lists and vocabularies and helps inform and improve data maturity, quality, and policy efforts.
The Data Analyst works besides the System Specialists, Developers and System Administrators within the Registry Systems Team to support the Student Record System. The post holder liaises with a wide range of stakeholders across the University who have requirements for data help, or the data being held by the Student Record System to identify the best data source, data definition, and maintenance of the information.
The successful applicant must demonstrate the following:
- Relevant Degree (Data Science, Data Analysis, Business Analysis, etc) or equivalent work experience
- Experience in a customer-focused operation, gained in the delivery of a range of services
- Experience working as part of a team to develop and supply core services or systems to a wider organisation
- Experience of working in an advisory capacity
- Experience of building effective working relationships with internal and external agencies
