The Fundraising Data Analyst is responsible for providing reporting and data analysis support to fundraising operations. This role involves preparing, analyzing, and documenting reports for fundraising management and various stakeholders across the organization. The analyst will ensure accuracy while identifying insights and trends to support decision-making.
Major Responsibilities:
- Prepare, analyze, and document reports on campaign performance and fundraising initiatives using Excel and Power BI.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform fundraising strategies and decision-making.
- Perform business analysis to create report requirements.
- Create and/or update and maintain PowerPoint presentation decks for periodic meetings of various committees and senior management groups.
- Document created reports and/or changes to existing reports.
- Analyze results to ensure accuracy of data.
- Respond to ad hoc questions from fundraisers, including solving problems that require cross-team collaboration.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in fundraising data analysis and reporting.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in a business or data science field and/or 1-3 years of analytical work experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint is required.
- Familiarity with data visualization software such as Power BI or similar tools.
- Curiosity to grow data analytical skills, including learning SQL.
- Experience with financial modeling, writing reports and analyzing results.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and within teams with all levels of management and staff.
- Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in fundraising or nonprofit organizations is a plus.
Salary Information:
The salary for this role is $80,000 to $85,000; commensurate with experience and qualifications listed above.
