Job description
The employee will apply their knowledge and skills to support study implementation, including: collecting and entering data; contributing to data collection instruments and methods; perform quality control and data cleaning; produce descriptive statistics; assist with study tool development and programming in REDCap; and engaging and retaining participants during the two-year follow-up period. The employee will work closely with the study team, under the supervision of the Project Director, to ensure smooth study implementation, contribute to rigorous data collection and analysis, address and resolve any operational challenges, and maintain strong participant communication and retention over the course of the study.
**NOTE: This is one year contract and hybrid with field work.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related area and 1 or more years of related work experience; and / or equivalent experience / training.
- Experience with guaranteed income programs, financial capability programs, or other financial interventions.
- Working knowledge and experience with data collection procedures and protocols, such as surveys or interviews.
- Working knowledge of research function.
- Working skills in statistical analysis, systems programming, database design and data security measures.
- Working skills in analysis and consultation.
- Skills to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Good ethical and interpersonal judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in related area (public policy, public health, or related).
- Human subjects research training.
- Familiarity and comfort working with young adults, communities of color, low-income communities.
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice.
