Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Profit Protection Data Analyst.

Reporting into the Senior Profit Protection Manager you will provide analytical support of potential loss areas, identifying common issues and causes, supporting the Profit Protection and Retail teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain stock loss reporting and carry out investigations related to stock loss in retail.
  • Analyse stock loss data and stock file accuracy, producing reports on a regular and ad hoc basis. Identify areas of concern, trends and high stock loss areas from stock loss data.
  • Manage stocktake process including and producing incident reporting dashboards.
  • Support Perpetual Inventory (PI) program through producing counts and carrying out investigations.
  • Colleague behaviours investigation. Produce and analyse transactional data using data analytics, using both automated reports and store individual screening. Identify potential fraud/theft or irregularities from the data available, enabling investigations to take place.
  • Investigate delivery discrepancies and missing pallets.
  • Develop and maintain a suite of dashboards for use by the profit protection team and field retail management using all risk data available.

Essential requirements:

  • Experience using data mining tools.
  • High levels of competency using MS Excel and Access.
  • Strong and proven analytical skill, and a similar mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience of producing and presenting reports.

Desirable experience:

  • Experience working within an analytical role.
  • Knowledge of SQL databases.
  • Good knowledge of Teradata, Tableau and Power BI.
