Job description
The Department of International Health at the Bloomberg School of Public Health is seeking for a Research Data Analyst who will conduct critical data management and analysis activities, including data review and processing, analysis, reporting, visualization, and report preparation. Will be under the guidance and supervision of the Director in the International Center for Maternal and Newborn Health. This position presents a prospect for individuals with a strong enthusiasm for advancement and an unwavering commitment to providing invaluable insights into data analysis. Will achieve this by approaching problems from diverse perspectives and leveraging various background study disciplines.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with investigators to create data analysis plans.
Conduct data analysis and interpretation using programming and biostatistics knowledge.
Adhere to corporate standards for performance metrics, data collection, data integrity, query design, and reporting format to ensure high-quality and meaningful analytic output.
Create, build, and maintain databases, records, and files.
Create and maintain documentation of statistical methods and codes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data is verified and archived effectively and efficiently.
Evaluate existing tools and identify innovative approaches for data analysis.
Resolve analytical issues using background knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and troubleshooting skills.
Generate reports, figures, and tables for manuscripts, presentations, and posters.
Utilize library and web resources to research statistical methods.
Maintain project tracking and archiving in compliance with department standards.
Conduct guided literature reviews.
Participate in drafting methods and results sections of manuscripts.
Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficiency in data entry, monitoring/quality assurance, and data analysis/biostatistics
Proficiency in programming languages, such as Stata and R
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Skilled in conducting literature reviews.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated technical skills in manuscript and proposal writing.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
Three years related experience.
Additional education (Master's level) may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Starting Salary Range: Min $46,560 - Max $81,650 Annually ($64,100 budgeted; Commensurate with experience)

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing.
