The Role

We are seeking a Data Analyst who will play a key role in analysing and interpreting company data to proactively identify data-driven opportunities and strategies to support our ambitious plans for growth over the next 2-3 years.

Based within the Finance team, this collaborative role will work closely with our Finance, Ecommerce and Marketing teams to perform a wide range of formal and ad hoc analyses, and proactively identify opportunities in data and reporting to deliver better insights to our stakeholders, whilst always focussing on profitable growth.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, technically capable and with strong communication skills to present data-driven recommendations across all levels of the company. The role will be working with our own first party data and channel data (Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta, Google, Pinterest and TikTok) and a good grasp of attribution will be crucial – ideally with previous experience using platforms such as Fospha.

You will lead discussions on test strategies across a range of different business areas and design and execute experiments through robust A/B testing.

Please note: This role will be based at our beautiful town house in the heart of Edinburgh. We are currently operating a hybrid working model and there will be a requirement for at least fixed 3 days to be worked each week alongside the rest of team at the Edinburgh office.

Areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:

Working closely with Finance, Ecommerce, Retail, Wholesale and Marketplaces teams to enhance revenue and margin planning and forecasting

Utilising customer, product and marketing analysis to improve reporting/management information and making data-driven recommendations to improve channel strategies and support overall business objectives

Identifying revenue opportunities for our:

  • Performance marketing team: incrementality tests, hold back studies, validating attribution data
  • CRM team: analysis on segmentation, cohort analysis, loyalty, retention, LTV
  • Development and UX team: improving site performance, CRO, customer journey analysis, funnel drop off points

Interrogating all transactional data (online and retail) to identify trading trends and identify actionable revenue opportunities in the following areas:

  • customer
  • product categories
  • colours/styles
  • price
  • promotion
  • geography
  • marketing

Focussing on optimizing resources (marketing spend/inventory) to drive and maximise top line revenue, margin, EBITDA and ROI

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years experience in a data analytics role
  • Strong experience analysing channel data across Meta, Google, Pinterest and TikTok.
  • A strong grasp of marketing attribution methodologies
  • Confident familiarity with GA4
  • Expert proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets (v-lookups, pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to present data-driven recommendations across all levels of the company
  • Strong business and commercial acumen and able to advise on strategies which focus on achieving profitable growth
